HUTCHINSON, Emma Alward

Mrs. Emma Hutchinson, 55, died at her home two miles NW of Crawfordsville Monday morning. Death followed a serious illness of 10 days. The deceased was born in Parke County Indiana Oct 30, 1876, the daughter of Timothy N. and Nettie Myers Alward. She was married November 6, 1892 (Fountain County) to Charles Hutchinson. She spent all of her life in the vicinity of Wallace, Elmdale, Waynetown and Crawfordsville. She had lived near this city for the past 11 years. Mrs. Hutchinson was a member of the Elmdale Primitive Bpatist Church. The survivors include the husband, Charles Hutchinson; one daughter, Mrs. Wanda Smith of Crawfordsville; four grandchildren; a brother, Otis Alward, of Lansing, Ill; a half-brother, Claude Alward of Kingman; 3 half sisters, Mrs. Charles Dain of Kingman; Mrs. Robert Newnum of Kingman and Mrs. Raymond Lucas of Marshall and her stepmother, Mrs. Timothy Alward of Kingman. The funeral services will be held at the Elmdale Baptist Church on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Cornelius Airhart. Burial will take place in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
